Antenna Azimuth Adjustment (Segments Shift)
Sub Reflector Adjustment
Sub Reflector Adjustment Procedure
Step 1: Measure the straight-line distances between different positions (at least 4 positions) of feed aperture surface's edge and main reflector edge. As shown in the figure distance A, make sure all the distances are the same as each other. At this point, it shows that feed is in the central position.
Step 2: Measure the straight-line distances between different positions (at least 4 positions) of sub reflector surface's edge and main reflector edge. As shown in the figure distance B, make sure all the distances are the same as each other. At this point, it shows that sub reflector is in the central position.
Troubleshoot and Solution for Bad Antenna Signal
1. Check if the antenna installation is in place
(1) Check whether the antenna assembly is in the right order
(2) Check whether all the bolts are fastened
(3) Check whether all the locating pins are installed in place. Check if the locating pin holes of the panel strut, rod, and hub are installed in place.
(4) Check the centration of the feed, main reflector and sub reflector.
(5) Check whether the sub reflector is installed in place, and fine adjustment for best signal.
2. Once the antenna is installed in place, if the signal is still not strong enough, it is possible that antenna is not aligned to the satellite accurately or is aligned to the side lobe. Please realign to the satellite and fine adjust for best signal.
